Rain Garden in Full Glory
Photos by James Giantomasi, my hubby and gifted photographer.
This rain garden is an utter delight. When we moved into our home in 2015, we were quickly faced that summer with overflow that turned our backyard into a pool. We were very fortunate that the Gunpowder Valley Conservancy had a program that helped us put in a rain garden in 2018 to retain the water and hold it until it could seep into the ground. The garden is filled with native plants that attract pollinators. It is a joy!
We later participated in a rain barrel workshop that stores water for in between rains.
