an occasion for ritual
and rejoicing,
of fruits and vegetables
as well as blooms
of bird nest building
and eggs
of cicadas emerging
crickets chattering
and caterpillars cocooning
of earth warming
and trees dancing
with each other
and the wind
of spider webs
and all the other
continuings of
life
