A protector from the sea ...

She found an egg tangled in the seaweed
It didn’t belong in her world
She saved it from drowning and protected it
Now she is bringing it back to its world

She has left her place of safety, at great risk
But she is committed to finding this egg’s kin,
To return it to its proper place and to protect it until she can

She is otherworldly.

The egg may not be as unused to her world as she thinks
and yet not as strange to this world either …
